User Interface

image

The screen-check configurator has its own section in the settings menu and contains the following settings/information:

  • help button (?) with information on how pixel-checks work and why they sometimes need to be recalibrated

  • list of implemented pixel-checks and image-checks:

    • long-clicking an underlined name will show information and calibration-instructions

    • left-clicking the button will perform a manual screen-check; this is for checking whether saved screen-data is still up to date

    • right-clicking the button will (re)calibrate the specific screen-check

  • button to open the image folder

    • only needed on systems running a Windows version older than 10, where screen-capping has to be done manually

Usage

  • this is primarily a trouble-shooting feature which potentially enables the user to fix script-incompatibilities after game-updates on their own without having to wait for me to release an update

  • this is also where screen-checks will be calibrated the first time after being implemented

    • script-users during archnemesis had to do this when starting the script for the first time (open arch-inventory and press 7)

Remarks

  • screen-checks are very useful for because they enable me to make the script more responsive and easier to use (they take away the need to toggle certain interface-elements)

  • they also make the concept of the omni-key possible by contextualizing its usage

  • giving the user the ability to calibrate and verify pixel-checks manually is mandatory because game-updates sometimes change UI textures, which necessitates updating pixel-check values
