The word "Rumi" is Quechua (the language of the Inca Empire) for stone, the word "Chain" refers to the blockchain. The words "rumi" and "chain" combined refer to the tokenizing of stones from Peru.
Establishing gems, semi-precious stones and minerals as Real World Assets establishes the provenance of the material. Peruvian law requires that the origin of any given gem or mineral has been legally sourced. Stones on the blockchain will ensure that these stones abide by this Peruvian law. The tokenization of the stone establishes its uniqueness and source. The buyer of the stone can have confidence in how and where the stone was sourced. An online platform that displays the stones will improve visibility, and increase the possibilities of the sale of the stone. The objective of the RumiChain project is to establish the tokenization and display of stones originating from Peru.
