Welcome to the Adaptica chatbot project! Adaptica is an adaptive learning platform designed to enhance learning experiences. This chatbot serves as a virtual assistant to help users with various inquiries, including course recommendations, project ideas, and more.
Answers to user queries based on predefined intents.
Suggests courses based on user interests.
Provides project ideas related to user preferences.
Adapts responses based on user input context.
Built with Streamlit for a user-friendly chat experience.
To run this project locally, follow these steps:
Clone the Repository
git clone https://github.com/yourusername/adaptica-chatbot.git
cd adaptica-chatbot
Set Up a Virtual Environment
Create and activate a virtual environment:
python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate # On Windows, use `venv\Scripts\activate"
Install Dependencies
Install the required Python packages:
pip install -r requirements.txt
Prepare the Model and Data
Ensure you have the following files in your project directory:
model.h5 – The trained chatbot model.
vectorizer.pkl – The vectorizer used for text processing.
vocab.pkl – Vocabulary for the chatbot.
classes.pkl – Classes for classification.
intents.json – Intents file containing patterns and responses.
If you don't have these files, refer to the training scripts to generate them.
- Run the Application
Start the Streamlit app:
streamlit run app.py
This will open the chatbot interface in your default web browser.
Usage Start a Conversation: Type your message in the input box and click "Send" or press Enter.
Receive Responses: The chatbot will provide responses based on your query and context.
Explore Options: Use the sidebar to explore additional chatbot options and links.
