Move large folders and create a symbolic link automatically. -
Just Create Link
Easily create a symbolic link if you already moved the folder manually.
- Source Path: The folder you want to move (e.g.,
C:\Program Files\BigGame
) - Target Path: The parent folder where you'll store it (e.g.,
D:\Games
)
Steps:
- Select the Source Path.
- Select the Target Path.
- Click Move & Link!
- Wait for Windows to finish moving the folder.
- Done! Everything works as before.
- Source Path: Where the link will appear (e.g.,
C:\Program Files\BigGame
)
This path MUST NOT exist. - Target Path: The folder you already moved (e.g.,
D:\Games\BigGame
)
Steps:
- Make sure the Source Path does not exist.
- Enter Source Path and Target Path.
- Click Just Create Link.
Note: This application is designed specifically for Windows.
SymlinkMover must be run as Administrator.
Right-click the file and choose Run as administrator
.
This is required for Windows to allow symbolic link creation.
If you skip this step, the app will not work properly.
