The extension supports all European countries including:
- Western Europe: France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Monaco
- Northern Europe: Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Greenland
- Southern Europe: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, San Marino, Vatican City
- Eastern Europe: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Albania, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus
- British Isles: United Kingdom, Ireland
- Others: Turkey, Gibraltar, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia
- Clone or download this repository
- Open Chrome and navigate to
chrome://extensions/
- Enable "Developer mode" in the top-right corner
- Click "Load unpacked" and select the extension folder
- The extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar
Once published, the extension will be available via the official Chrome Web Store.
- Click the extension icon in the Chrome toolbar
- Select a European country from the dropdown list
- Click "Generate IBAN" or press
Ctrl+Enter
- The generated IBAN will appear and be copied to your clipboard
- Click "Copy IBAN" to copy it again later if needed
- IBAN Validation: All generated IBANs comply with the ISO 13616 standard
- Check Digit Calculation: Uses MOD-97 algorithm
- Country-Specific BBAN: Each country uses its own BBAN structure
- Storage: Last selected country saved using Chrome sync storage
- Offline Operation: Works entirely in your browser, no internet needed
- Privacy: No analytics, no telemetry, no external calls
