Welcome to the official IdleMMO Wiki, your go-to resource for all things related to IdleMMO.
We’ve designed this wiki to help players and contributors understand the game and share accurate, up-to-date information.
To ensure a consistent and quality experience for all users, please adhere to the following guidelines when contributing to the Wiki:
- Markdown Only - All contributions must be in Markdown format. HTML code is not supported and will be rejected.
- Maintain File Structure - Do not alter the existing file structure of the Wiki. Contributions should fit seamlessly into the current structure.
- No New Files - Do not create new files. Only edit existing files.
- Don't Edit index.md - Any changes to index.md will be denied.
- No External Links - Avoid linking to external websites. All content should be self-contained within the Wiki.
- Appropriate Content - Any content must adhere to IdleMMO's Terms of Service and Code of Conduct.
- List All Changes - Each PR must include a detailed list of all changes made. This should be clearly outlined in the pull request description.
Please note the following additional requirements to maintain the integrity and usefulness of the Wiki:
- Language Support - Currently, we only support content in English. Contributions in other languages will not be accepted.
- Separate Pull Requests - While this is not a hard rule, it's recommended that you keep your pull requests (PRs) small. If a PR contains hundreds of changes, it risks rejection if even a single line violates our guidelines. Split large updates into multiple PRs for simpler reviews and better approval chances.
- Image Usage - Only images hosted on the IdleMMO CDN are allowed. Obtain these by copying an image URL directly from the game.
- Factual Content - Ensure that all contributions are factual and unbiased. Avoid opinions or subjective statements.
- Appropriate Language - Use clear, straightforward, and appropriate language that is easy to understand.
- AI Content - Contributions must be primarily human-generated. While AI tools can be used to check grammar or refine language, fully AI-generated content is not permitted.
- Verification - Contributors are required to provide sources or methodologies for any statistical data or gameplay mechanics they include in their contributions. This information should be detailed in the description of the pull request and does not need to be part of the wiki content itself. This will help ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information added to the wiki.
To contribute to the IdleMMO Wiki, follow these simplified steps:
- Fork the repository to create your own copy.
- Make changes in your forked repository. Ensure you adhere to the contribution guidelines outlined.
- Commit your changes with a clear description.
- Submit a pull request (PR) from your fork to our main repository for review.
That's it! Once submitted, your PR will be reviewed by the maintainers.
Just keep in mind that even though changes approved on the main wiki branch are considered production-ready, they still need one last round of internal review before they’re officially added to the IdleMMO production branch. This is especially important for things like numbers and values, which might include placeholders or outdated info until that final check is done.
Simply put, nothing on the wiki is guaranteed to be final until it's actually in the game. Even then, while we do our best to keep the wiki up to date, things in the game can change - sometimes quickly. That means the wiki might become outdated, even if the info was accurate when it was added.
