You say the run fails without it, but it's been like this since forever. Why and how did it fail to you? |
I have been testing it and it works without. It depends if the And the fact we don't use the root user by default https://github.com/CollaboraOnline/online/pull/11232/files |

The run fails without it, since the user is now cool (1001) but start-collabora-online.sh is owned by root.
