R training

Introduction to R

Course on the basics of the coding language R. The course will cover how to use R, what can be done in R (e.g., making beautiful plots!) and how to troubleshoot issues with code.

Training for 2025 will take place on the following dates: 16-18 of June 2025 Where: In-person at the UEA

The course is split into two parts. Part One covers getting data into R, data visualisation, basic statistics and basic data wrangling. No prior knowledge of R is necessary.

Part Two will run on the final day of the course and have sessions on more specific topics such as R shiny, spatial analysis and writing functions, alongside a workshop where you can get help with applying your R skills to your data and day to day work. If you have sufficient existing knowledge of R you can attend part two only.

You are encouraged to bring along your own data and learn to apply your new R skills with the goal of embedding R in your work.
