Switch-IT (Beta Release Notes)

Switch-IT, a simple and secure offline file conversion tool, is now available in beta! This release includes a range of features and UI improvements aimed at enhancing user experience and conversion functionality. Please note: Current design choices are not final and will be refined in future releases 🥹 .

Key Updates:

• File Conversion Functionality

  • Added support for .word to .pdf and .png to .jpeg conversions, with plans to expand support for more formats in future updates.
  • Integrated dependencies to allow users to open files directly after conversion within the app.

• UI/UX Enhancements

  • Modernized UI with a cleaner layout, including gradient overlays, refined color themes, and smoother transitions.
  • Added responsive button feedback with color-change selectors on press for improved interactivity.
  • Included Lottie animations on the conversion screen for a more dynamic, engaging experience.
  • Redesigned Main Activity with an "Add Image" button and a conversion history section for greater usability.
  • Incorporated dividers between conversion formats and image views, along with a custom Spinner background for dropdowns.
  • Added Button click effect to darken button when clicked
  • Added Spinner to display the three different formats available right now
  • Added format preview besides Spinner to view selection

• Performance Improvements

  • Enhanced responsiveness by adjusting onset handler delays, with a decrease of 200 milliseconds for smoother performance.
  • Added Fade_in and Fade_out Screen transition effects from Splash Screen to main screen to minimize lag and ensure smoothness

• Bug Fixes & Stability

  • Fixed issues with package names and activity declarations in manifest.xml.
  • Addressed spinner connectivity and improved activity transitions.

This Beta marks my first entry into App development, aiming to provide a secure and privacy-focused offline file conversion experience. I look forward to feedback for further improvements!!!! as Switch-IT continues to evolve, and my skills continue too as well 😄 , Because App Development tends to take up a loooott of time and as its also my first time, Cheers ✌️ .
