A new version of the Blockstream Satellite software package is now available. This version updates the Telstar 18V C-band signal frequency in preparation for the frequency update of May 9, 2025. It also introduces minor improvements and bug fixes.

You can upgrade your CLI and GUI versions by running the following command (see the quick reference guide):
sudo pip3 install blocksat-cli blocksat-gui --upgrade
Alternatively, you can install the latest CLI and GUI apps directly through the new blockstream-satellite binary package available on the supported Linux distributions and package managers. Please see the instructions in the user guide.
Lastly, if you are running the CLI or GUI on Docker, an updated image is available in the Docker Hub repository. You can pull it by running the following:
docker pull blockstream/satellite:2.5.1
