Description
I use Kid3 to edit mp3 file metadata. Indicating the genre, artist and album, the songs appear in the relevant sections in the application. However, uploading the first file with metadata, which gets recognized in the sections, has issues: the meter of artists/albums/genres on the top right corner shows 0 in all general sections. When re-scanning, the counter in the section is not updated, but when you go to the specific artist/album/genre folder, the number of songs meter instead of 1 shows 2 and each re-scan increases this value.
Subsequent additions of files indicating metadata works relatively correctly. General meters of artists/albums/genre show the total value -1 (uncounted first file). But the re-scan still breaks the meter inside each folder.
The Songs section works correctly. I'd appreciate it if you fix the counters. Also interested in how to add an image to the artist's card. Kid3 allows you to add a cover for the song/album, and the artist’s album shows the same cover, but re-scan breaks the image in the Artists section. If I understand correctly, the artists can show a number of images of albums and tracks, so manual image setup is not needed if it works correctly.
Steps to Reproduce
- Download the mp3 file
- Change the metadata according to the track
- Go to any general section (will show 0 instead of 1)
- Enter the artist/genre/album folder (number of tracks is relevant)
- Get back to general section
- Re-scan
- Cover in Artists section may be broken
- Number of general folders stays 0
- Go into specific folder of the section
- The number of tracks increased from 1 to 2
- Each re-scan increases the meter by 1
- Download and change metadata of another file
- Go to any section
- Number of folders is 1, not 2
Expected Behavior
Broken Counter
