Help with Excalidraw and stylus on Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite

I have installed Excalidraw on my tablet. The app is super good and really happy I came across it
One thing that is not working for me is entering text when using a pen on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6
Whenever I want to enter text on a shape, I double tap.
15% of the times, it will pop up a small virtual keyboard on which I can type. All good
85% of the time the screen flickers and there is no keyboard.

I am using the samsung virtual keyboard but also happens with gboard

The pen otherwise works ok to add a shape, arrow, freehand, etc

Anybody has any suggestions?
