FR: Possibility to retain links (both internal - mainly navigating to canvas elements and external) in both SVG and PDF either generate HTML output too
#2356
It is a fantastic plugin. Thank you for developing and maintaining it. 👍 🥇
One among many of its great features, the best of advantage is the linking possibility navigating to files, even inside the canvas elements (headings or elements, groups etc.) what are very difficult to do in many great drawing software products.
However, that is a kind of its disadvantage, it lives only inside Obsidian and mainly when opening your excalidraw plugin view.
What I mean here, neither the SVG nor the PDF output will retain these links, thus when inserting or embedding an excalidraw SVG, or excalidraw file in an MD note the navigation won't work, unless the file opened in excalidraw plugin view. (There is a similar issue, at least mentioning similar problem, see: #896 (comment)).
So also, not only inserting or embedding inside an Obsidian MD note, but if I want to use the drawing SVG inserted into a separate HTML file, or simple see the SVG in the browser, or use the standalone exported PDF file, it won't open the links. Instead, it will try to open the drawing in Obsidian. The internal link navigation to elements completely lost.
See a use case: excdrw_How_to_create_flowchart_mindmaps.md

The SVG output of the excalidraw file
How the SVG looks in Firefox (up-to-date)
I would like to ask whether it would be possible to resolve to retain the links in the exported SVG and PDF, or would you develop an HTML export of excalidraw canvas?
It would be so great and really to boost your plugin usability and interchangeability!!!!!!!!!
I would be grateful of receiving your kind reaction or answer. Thank you!
PS: By the way, I'm a Hungarian fellow, formerly I was an IT architect. Thus, I very well know how much problem to choose the best suitable tools and integrating them. There are many great diagramming software products, both using them online or its desktop versions. It has been also my passion to choose the simplest usable one having the best and more suitable features. I would like to use your plugin because of the above written great advantage, but as I mention, my problem is it only lives and works in Obsidian. Obsidian is great too, and I share their view about the local platform working, however Obsidian is unfortunately a little poor of its HTML export and interchange with else platforms. I have not had an account to try its publishing possibility yet, thus I can not try whether publishing an excalidraw MD can work there or not. I also have not had account at discord and Obsidian community either.
I have been now in retiring, and I'm trying to establish my own PKM system. I have been very much learning from your videos and ideas.
I would like to ask you whether can I reach at your email address put on your blog or else one?
I would be grateful of receiving your kind answer to this question. Thank you!
