browsing total station data

God afternoon,
maybe my question is stupid, but till now I did not find an open source software which is able to browse the internal file of a total station in a similar way of an external memory (like for instance the close software geotools does). I would like to know if it would be possible to implement this feature within ComEasy. I tested the software and it worked very well (I was able to send a files from the total station, a Focus 10, to the PC; here a short report: http://arc-team-open-research.blogspot.it/2016/05/comeasy-new-tool-for-total-station.html). I am just wondering is such implementation would be possible.

browsing the files/jobs on the total station is vendor dependent. For example for Geodimeter instruments (and Trimble 55xx series) there are externel commands to query list of jobs (OMC/OIC/OC commands). Put one of these into the initial sequence in the Settings dialog to get a list of jobs (OCM), ares (OIC) or jobs&ares (OC), then select Download and the instrument will send the info. Several vendors (e.g. Leica) don't publish how to get this info :(
If you have information how to query list of jobs on different total stations, I would implement it.

if I understood right, I have to type, for instance, "OIC" into the field "initial sequence" in the dialog "Setting", in order to get info about .are data in the total station. But what I have to do next to see this data? If I press "OK" it does not show the list and if later I press "Download", than the software is waitign me to send data from total station (than I can use the program 54 in a Geodimeter instrument, but there I can sedn just one file per time). On the net I founf this pdf (ftp://ftp.geoteam.dk/Manualer/Geodimeter%20CU&600CU/571702001ver1part1.pdf), where at chapter 4 is well explained which command is possible to use with this instrument, but I do not understand how to send this commands from the software to the CU.

Dear Luca,
The OIC etc. commands does not start data download :(. It is only a way to get the list of jobs/are using the computer not the instrument. After it you have to start data sending from the instrument side.
Thank you the link, the OI/OM/OU commands can be used to start downloading from the computer. I'll try to implement it. Unfortunately the geodimeter instruments are not in use at our department, so it is difficult to test.

thank you. If you plan to implement the commands, I can test them our instruments (a Geodimeter 600 and a Focus 10, both from Trimble).
