Even though there is some minimal validation of cfg done via validate_config, it only checks if some members of cfg are NULL or 0, and corrects them to default values. It does not check if provided values are correct; for example it is possible to set block_size to 512 bytes, even though it seems that other code expects block_size to be multiply of 1024.
Set as minor as this is configuration issue that will prevent system from mounting, so can be easily detected and avoided.
