ESP32-C5 Support

Hey all,

I just got some ESP32-C5, will this be supported by a current board or does it need something new?

It will be supported, but it is undefined which chip version. As of today, v1.0 and forward will be supported, but this can change. v0.1 was discontinued from ESP-IDF as well, so make sure to have the proper versions to the one you have.

For v0.1, you must use older ESP-IDF. For 1.0, you will need to get hands on to make it work for Zephyr, as it is scheduled to start in Q3/25.

First, thanks for the super quick response. I'll start using the ESP-IDF for now, just to get playing with the C5 capabilities. The current version also complains that I have v1 boards and it want's v0-0.99 but I'll work on that issue :)
