initialisation and updation of west tool in windows

After initialisation of west by using west init zephyrproject command then i gave the west update command then it updated for sometime and it is showing ERROR OCCURED UPDATE FAILED.

Expected behaviour is it should update properly and i followed all the steps properly from beginning.

OS : Windows

Thank you ycsin i solved that problem ,

but there is another bug it would be easy for me if you help me with this

while building using west tool the cmd screen is showing error in windows OS

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'west'

Have you installed West? Is it in your system environment PATH?

It should be something like this:

What happens when you type west -V in your cmd/powershell?

If you installed West and it is in your PATH, you should see this:

PS C:\Users\yongc> west -V
West version: v0.9.0

it is showing like above v0.12.0

Hmm, no clue either. If I were you I'd remove everything and redo the whole thing again

Remove any conflicting softwares

1. Go to Control Panel and uninstall these if present:
   • All Python related software
   • Git version *.*.*
   • CMake
2. Remove these folders if present
   • C:\Python*
   • C:\Program Files\Python*
   • C:\Program Files (x86)\Python*
   • C:\ProgramData\Python*
   • C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\pip
   • C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\python*
