Is there any option to set the old assistant panel as default #30280

I've also emailed the Zed team asking for the old non-agent panel. They don't seem to care that much about the user experience. Given that my workflow is completely dependent on this feature, I am keeping an old Zed Preview version to still use that function. One interesting aspect is that now the old non-agent panel is limited to a 120000 context window token count. I hope they address this issue soon. |

The new Agent Panel with function calling is a great addition for many users, but I must admit it doesn't work well for everyone, including me.
The editor in the new Agent Panel only supports plain text, lacking the syntax highlighting that was available before.
I can no longer directly edit the assistant's responses or freely modify/delete previous context as I could in the old panel. This limits my ability to manage conversations effectively.
The old UI had a unique and distinctive design that set it apart from mainstream Agent Panels. It was also simpler and more efficient for my workflow. In fact, the original UI was one of the main reasons I chose Zed in the first place.
I found taht old assistant panel still there in text thread, but how can i set it as default one?
