Read out charger via bluetooth

The chargers we use for our robots provide state data via bluetooth. They broadcast their state with a setting called Instant readout. You can see that information with their app.

Two questions here:

1. Is that information proprietary and encrypted?
2. Can the ESP get that information while still being available for our remote control app?

I did some research on this and these are the summarized answers:

Is that information proprietary and encrypted?

• Yes. Victron “Instant readout” uses one‑way encrypted BLE advertisements. You need the charger’s MAC and per‑device encryption key from VictronConnect to decode them. See the manual (7.3.9).

Can the ESP get that information while still being available for our remote control app?

• Yes. Keep the current ESP32 BLE integration, and add a small BLE central/scanner module to read the charger’s Instant readout ads and decrypt them. ESP‑IDF NimBLE supports peripheral + central concurrently on one ESP32 (reuse the same stack; enable central role in sdkconfig).

If it somehow would not work with one ESP32 Bluetooth module, we could use the Bluetooth module of the p0 ESP32 used in our robots.
