[Bug] Overlays Do Not Close on Escape #16

I've noticed a bug when escaping (not switching windows) with this plugin. I think as it stands, the focus switch is what allows all the overlays to clear, but this means if you do not switch windows, the overlays sometimes do sometimes don't. The window you have focused will always behave correctly, and other window's overlays will sometimes behave correctly and other times will stay until another window is focused.
