Background Play for only audio outputs

With VLC mode I've found that the video is broken but actually it's kind of a feature for me and my friends instead of a bug. Because we use it for IRL watch parties as Bluetooth simultaneous connections have a limit for A2DP streams. 

So in future if it gets fixed can we also have background play feature for only audio and no video output?
