an option to encrypt the secret would be good. One could sent eth via your email with pasword encrypting the secret. And senders responsibility would be to provide password to recipient, eg, through sms, phonecall or whatever.

Thanks for your reply. Don't get me wrong: I do think it's a great idea and I hope it will help mainstream adoption. The potential is certainly there. Maybe, down the road, you can find a more secure way of giving the key to the recipient. Anyway, I voted for you and wish you the best.

I think the main threat is not that the email is compromised now. The main threat is that user's email get compromised later and that he or she didn't move the ethers to another account.
I think you should make it a bit less convenient and let the private key be retrieved, after proving ownership of the email address.
