Metadata of provided reference tree #412

Hello! We are currently using UShER to identify to which clade our consensus sequences are close to. Those sequences are all coming from the NBCI Virus database, in the SRA repository. So, we have metadata linked to those samples as well. To what I was able to understand from what you are providing as a reference, your sequences are also coming from public repositories. Could it be possible to link your metadata to the SRA ids from NCBI or your source is different than this?

Furthermore, I have a question concerning the placement of a sample that is already present in the reference tree. What does the program is expected to produce as the path to get to the sample? If for example, the sample has one or more mutations compared to the last node connecting multiple samples together. Would it plug it at the same level at the sample that is already present in the tree or would it continue the branch from this sample? I'm not sure if my question is clear.

Thanks for your help!
