Need help. I want to add more definitions (about 600) to a book.

I'm reading a science book, and it's very complicated with all the science terms. I don't know if I can mention the book name here.

It's one of the best science fiction books and I really want to understand it.

I asked chatgpt to read the book and extracts words with brief deifinitions and compiled them into a csv file.

How do I add this on worddumb. Does anyone know a step where I can add these words ontop of the wordwise file created by worddumb from the book?

I'm thinking using worddumb on caliber to send the book to kindle with wordwise and then there should be a cache of the generated word someone in my computer , I have to find it and add more words in it? and sent to my kindle again?

There is no such feature, however you can add them as customized X-Ray data, I think that's more appropriate. And some common words that are not uniquely defined for this book should have definition in Wiktionary.

I don't think Wiktionary admins will let you do that... unless the word is commonly used outside the novel context.

Your data is better used as X-Ray data IMO. Some are person names and many definition are too long for Word Wise.

Wait, sorry, is there a way to add Xray file from .csv or something like that in bulk instead of manually adding from the plugin in calibre. thahnk you.

The customize x-ray data are saved in a JSON file along side the book file, you can convert the csv file to that JSON format.

I'm so sorry to ask so many questions. I tried to look at the book folder in my kindle I didn't find any JSON file and I also looked at the Calibre Libray folder for the book and there is no JSON file.

Can you please guide me where it's located?

Save one customize x-ray data then you'll find a JSON file in calibre's book folder. Select your book in calibre, click "o" key to open the book folder.
