Hex file for STM32

I haven't tried it for this project, so no guarantees:

1. Get STM32CubeIDE and an ST-LINK programmer.
2. Create a new STM32 project for the STM32F103C8T6.
3. Copy all the .c and .h files from the stm32_timersync-open/USER folder into your project's Core/Src. Just overwrite the existing main.c.
4. Try to build it (hit the hammer icon).
5. If it compiles, the .hex file should be in the Debug folder.
6. Flash it to the board with the ST-LINK.

Hi, I'm absolutely new to this stuff but, below I'll explain how I generated the .hex file to flash, the program seems to have been developed with Keil uVision since the source code contains the PWM.uvprojx file and the ARM Compiler v5 is needed to compile, therefore:

1. Install Keil uVision5
2. Install ARM Compiler 5 (It seems that to run versions of the ARM Compiler other than version 6 you need a paid license, so I asked for a 30-day trial license, but I didn't look into it further.)
3. Open project PWM.uvprojx on Keil uV5
4. Configure the correct version of the ARM Compiler in Project --> Manage Project --> Folders/Extensions
5. Build/Compile the project as is and a "32hex" folder will be created with the PWM50.hex file inside.
6. Flash .hex to the board with the ST-LINK (you can also use keil uv directly but I used ST-LINK Utility v.4.6.0)

I haven't had the chance to assemble the system yet as I don't have the MVS Camera and an oscilloscope, but by connecting LEDs to the PA1 and PB5 pins you get intermittent operation at 1Hz and 10Hz, so I think it works correctly

I hope this explanation is helpful for someone like me who has zero programming knowledge.

I was wondering where you purchased the various components for the project. I noticed from your name that you might be Italian. I'm Italian too, and I'd like to build this device to test its suitability for surveying, but I'm not a programmer myself.
