How to right align in the status bar?

I noticed on the screenshots regarding the status bar script that some icons were aligned to the right bottom corner, and I can't seem to replicate that behaviour myself. I'd like to put the zoom controls to the right, and using a flexible space would've been preferable. With Spacers the URL is squished:

Without spacers zoom control is pushed to the right, but doesn't stay there:
