Extensions Update Checker: Make Add-On Auto-Update (without notification)

Is it possible to make an Add-On Auto-Update if it is Enabled like so:

I tried enabling this and noticed it behaves the same as if it was just Default: it just loads Add-On Manager and notifies there is an update.

Preferably user can have a setting outside of editing the .js so that future script updates are easy to download.
