Testing Index Drops

Does pgroll allow you to test index drops and quickly rollback in the event that the index is needed?

Yes, it has an operation called drop_index.

The start phase of dropping an index is a no-op. So the index is still present when you are testing the new schema version. The index is only dropped when you run pgroll complete command. Alternatively, if you want to roll back the migration, run pgroll rollback.
