IR Remote Support possible?

Hello everyone,

Is there a possibility to add support for IR transmitters? I am currently using a free account via the Tuyacloud Developer to be able to use the IR Remote. Is there a possibility to use them locally?

Personally, I don't like the cloud constraints at all.

As far as I know, I don't think it's possible to control the devices that are added into the IR Remote device because these devices don't have DPS Data maybe it is possible to control the IR Remote it self but the devices it contains not sure about this as I haven't used Tuya IR Remote before.

my problem is that i dont know whic local tuya integration i should use... this one from zetsubou or that from BenJamesAndo... which one is "better" ?

I didn't make Tuya Local, was just mentioning it. Both are very good. But if you're specifically wanting to use Tuya IR device then perhaps Tuya Local will be the best fit for you.

It works perfectly for me with S18 model cut-off from cloud. However, after IR restarts I have to remove and re-add it again... couple of routine clicks. Nevertheless, does anybody know a potential trick to make this automatic somehow?

Never tested this before, I'll try to check if this integration issue or device behave.

It might well be a device behavior, but still, whatever does adding a device from scratch, "wakes" the device from a zombie state and it becomes operational. Definitely device flaw could be somehow "compensated" by an integration.
Do you have an idea, how could I manually query the device to "wake" it up on my own?
