Feature Request: Article Feedback Widget

It would be nice if there was a widget (or shortcode) that would allow for feedback through a vote or a quick private note; as an alternative to opening comments in any given article.

It might also be cool if the built-in comments feature could be used as the feedback mechanism, i.e., comments could be disabled, but then a feedback widget could simply create a new comment for that KB Article, which could then be seen from within the WordPress Dashboard.

Something like that might have to be all-or-nothing though, i.e., if you enable that feature, then comments are never shown publicly on any KB Article, even if you enable them (otherwise you run the risk of having feedback comments showing up as public comments).

I see what you mean. Maybe this could be accomplished using wp_commentmeta where the comments query could be altered to only return comments (for regular comment forms) that do not have a specific meta value. In short, adding a new type of comment to WordPress called feedback.
