Install Remote Worker

I installed Windmill Community Edition in a container on a Windows VM. The Windmill server works fine.
I'd like to install a worker on a remote Windows VM so that the Windmill server can give it commands to run PowerShell scripts.
I can't install a worker because Chatgpt tells me I need worker-windows-x86_64.exe on the remopte VM. However, I can't find this binary....
What should I do?

Hi,

At the moment Windows worker builds are EE and agent workers (using HTTP) are also EE so you would most likely need EE for that specific use-case.

A few questions please:

• Can I migrate my CE version to Enterprise Edition? Or do I have to install a new EE version?
• I didn't quite understand the pricing calculation for the EE version.
  In my case, I have a Windmill server that works very well for running Python scripts that execute PowerShell scripts remotely. I need a worker on a remote VM for more complex use (authentication issues).
  I will be the only one (administrator) using Windmill server to create approximately 100 workflows, scripts, and schedule remote batch executions.

Currently, on my CE instance, I have two worker groups and 24 workers. - 8 workers windmill-worker-standard-linux

• 16 workers windmill-worker-standard-windows
  I don't know if this is too much or not enough...

Can you help me configure and get a quote?

Hi,

EE and CE are compatible so you can go both directions without any migration needed, just switch the images for the ee ones and that's it.
