Any workaround to boost performance? (Very low even in office suite)

I'm running nothing more than microsoft office using WinApps and even here I get about 15 FPS. I mean, even cells selection in excel appears very laggy. Is there any workaround? I'm not talking about high or even near-native FPS but just at least 30 would be pretty fine. I would want to run some adobe soft but I'm very afraid that the situation may become worse, haha
