How to handle custom errors at simulateContract using wagmi's writeContract?

I found an article on how to handle custom errors at simulateContract docs.

But in my case I see such an error:

This error is of type ContractFunctionExecutionError, not ContractFunctionRevertedError. In that case, is there any possibility to extract the custom error name? The contract has a bunch of custom errors and one is for sure triggered during that call.

Posted similar issue on wagmi repo. Didn't find any solution yet
