Latest version not very effective

I was watching a streamer, and wanted to do noise suppression and enabled this plugin in my audio chain.

Then I realized, the version I had was one of the very early releases, so I decided to upgrade.

Now, it's only about 10% effective as the old version, which I erroneously deleted so I can't revert, and have tried the last few releases with no luck. I'm hearing almost everything with VAD threshhold at 0.99, and everything else at 0 like I had before. It seems no matter what I change, it only gets worse, never better.

I'm not sure what to do other than starting at the earliest versions now, but wanted to point out something definitely has changed over time, and not for the better.

Any advice on how to improve the performance would be greatly appreciated!

I've narrowed it down to v1.01 being the last it was as effective as it's ever been. Anything after that is practically doing nothing for me with any settings I choose. It IS doing something, but it's just so ineffective it's not very useful.

Anyway, I've reverted to 1.01 and at least it's a bit better than before.

Maybe something to look at? If not, either way, thank you for the plugin(s)!
