Hi there - I don't think it's an app issue but probably a change in how macOS remembers display layouts. Anyway, you can use the app's Configuration Protection feature (see the similarly named menu item under the display) to "protect" the HDR setting if it does not get restored with the layout.

Let me know if this does not work.
