| You should not use AirPlay, but the built-in Screen Sharing - connect to the 14" from the 16" and use the virtual screen as source. |

| Ok, you have to turn off "high performance" mode in screen sharing, and then the screen remains visible. I created a virtual screen on the 14" and screenshared it to the 16" and used the 14" as the main laptop. It needs a fast internet connection otherwise the image is very laggy. Thanks. |

Hi,
I am trying to use both a macbook 14 and 16 at the same time. The 16 is being used as an extended display for the 14. With the standard apple extended display feature the aspect ratio o fthe extended image on the 16 is limited to 16:9 due to what seems like AirPlay limitations. I have used BetterDisplay (BD) to create a virtual screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio which i then mirror onto the MBP 16 extended display. This gives me an image on the MBP 16 with a 16:10 aspect ratio. However, the resolution scaling setting is such that the text is very small on the MBP 16 screen. I have tried adjusting the resolution slider in BD for the virtual display but it has no effect. Is there a way to fix this and use BD to create a extended display on my MB16 with a 16:10 aspect ratio AND a adjustable scaling? also ideally setting the brightness of the 16MBP beyond the 600nits built in limit. Thank you!
