Sadly no, the display's EDID in Apple Silicon Macs is only a rather simple placeholder with some timings listed, so a pairing issue cannot be solved this way. :( |

After a repair where the replacement used a genuine M1 Pro screen but wasn't Apple authorized I believe the system isn't recognizing it as a native panel and I don't see the BetterDisplay XDR profile. However both ProMotion and True Tone work fine.
I was wondering if there is a way to edit the EDID display information to make MacOS recognize the display? I'm sure Apple's configuration tool post repair is doing something like this for the displays.
