Sadly you can't route the HDMI output of the Apple TV through your Mac (without an appropriate HDMI video grabber/capture card or usb-c dongle - you can find these for cheap - https://www.amazon.com/video-capture-devices-mac/s?k=video+capture+devices+for+mac) - so if your display supports hardware PIP, you have to use that (or get a capture card). You might be able to control the PIP feature via DDC using custom controls in BetterDisplay, but it is a bit difficult to set up and you'd need to know the specific DDC commands for your monitor (this is not standardized), so this might not be feasible. |

I've scanned/read all the documentation and discussions I can find, but can't figure out the answer to this one.
I can turn a PIP on using monitor physical switch and put my Apple TV into it. But I'd really rather have that done using Better Display, if possible. But I can't figure out how to configure the Virtual screen to pull from a specific HDMI input. I'm also not sure if I should have the Apple TV HDMI out plugged into the primary monitor or perhaps into my docking station that connects via Thunderbolt to my Mac.
Hardware:
I have a LG Ultrawide 49WL95C-W, connecting primarily to MacBook Pro M3 Pro. I also have an Anker Prime Docking Station.
TIA for your help.
