UI scaling and 100% pixel preview Photoshop and other apps.

anyone managed to display 100% size images in photoshop correctly (not smaller) due to UI scaling in mac os?
i have a 4k screen and my resolution is set to 2560x1440. thus there is a scaling factor of 133%. photoshop and others make images smaller when set to 100% size. 1 pixel is NOT 1 pixel....

i played around a lot with betterdisplay app, but no positive results.

anyone has achieved that yet?!

No, if you want pixel perfect rendering, you need to use 1920x1080 HiDPI or 3840x2160 LoDPI on a 4K screen. If you want 2560x1440 with pixel perfect rendering, you'll need a 5K display.

even the 5k apple studio display cannot display images correctly at 100% .....

At 2560x1440 it has 1:1 pixel mapping and the framebuffer pixels are perfectly align to output pixels. If the image is not pixel perfect then it must be some issue in Photoshop but I suspect that is not the case. I don't use photoshop so I am not sure whether it uses 1:1 mapping in 50% or 100%. Depending on that you might need to use 100% or 200% to match a photoshop pixel to a logical display pixel. If Photoshop does not produce a sharp image with this setting, you might need to enable some kind of integer scaling (or "nearest") so each photoshop pixel fully fills a logical pixel (that is 2x2 physical pixels). But again, I am not a Photoshop user, I always found it a super-confusing and bloated app to my needs + the pricing always seemed ridiculous - but I am probably not the target audience for Adobe. :)

also capture one pro and apple preview enlarge or shrink images. 100% is not possible. so annoying. there must be a workaround.

Again, 1:1 pixel mapping is possible when a 5K display is either set to 2560x1440 HiDPI or 5120x2880 LoDPI. For a 4K display it needs to be set to 1920x1080 HiDPI or 3840x2160 LoDPI.
