Is the image fixed when you quit the app or remains dark? |

When quitting the app the image gets fixed. It gets dark again when re-launching the app. |

The only thing that really changes the behavior somehow (and actually fixes it) is the HDR thing. Clarifying again that HDR is always off for me, I don't use it. I just turn it on and then back off for the sole purpose of fixing this issue. |

Did you try resetting the app? https://github.com/waydabber/BetterDisplay/wiki/Safe-mode,-app-reset,-app-removal There are a number of settings that might cause an issue like this, but the best way is to reset the app first and check the baseline. If the issue comes back with brightness control, it might be that the display is not responding well to DDC control (you should then disable it) or the software component of brightness/image control interferes with some other app (you can try disabling that as well). |

Hi, I already had an issue report on this, and seems like this is still happening, but a bit differently.
The issue is, some days when I start working and plug my MacBook to my external LG display, the picture is very dark. Almost like having a hard black tint to it.
Previously, when this issue occurred, it was only when the MacBook's lid is open. Now the issue persists also when it's close.
The manual fix I have to do to get things back to normal, is drop my refresh rate to 60Hz, in order to unlock the setting of using HDR. I then turn HDR on and then back off, and set my refresh rate back to Variable 1-160Hz, and the picture returns to being perfectly fine. Thus assuming the issue might be related to HDR behavior in some way.
I will attach the previous issue report. All details there are similar to the issue now, aside from the ones I've pointed out just now.
I've also tried the same things/fixes that I've listed there. The pictures of before/after the problem are also the same, besides that now I think there's no green tint, only a much darker picture.

A little more dry details:
Thanks in advance.
