Hi there - is this an Intel MBP? If so, then this is a known bug with the Intel GPU drivers. There is no cure for it I am afraid. (note: don't forget to configure those DDC features or just click on the banner to make it go away :)). |

Thank you, @waydabber. I really appreciate the swift response & the tip. I'm guessing there is no workaround to increase the scaling through MacOS Accessibility (or some other command-line magic), right? I also wonder if this would happen to M1 MacBooks and beyond. |

This issue is specific to some Intel iGPUs - AMD GPUs or Apple Silicon Macs are not affected. |

Hello world, I already thank you for stumbling upon my post!
My specs:
Everything works flawlessly, but for whatever reason, when I try to select the HiDPI resolution, it just ignores it.

The icon in the menu goes blue for a second, and it stays in the default.
The display is huge and there is no way for me to scale the windows in MacOS Sonoma, so I need to increase the text size everywhere manually — which is a pain especially because I then need to revert them when I use the laptop on its own.
Any ideas why? I tried some other tweaks that I found here and there on GitHub (like One Key HiDPI), but nothing. Perhaps I've configured it incorrectly...
