Description
The system supports the ability to add non-chartered groups to the schedule (e.g., chapters and evangelists). The system also supports
the ability to add groups to the agenda when we anticipate they will be chartered by the time of the event. However, if we include those groups in the schedule and they end up not being chartered in time, we should free up the allocated room.
Could we enhance the validation phase so that:
- If a session title suggests that the session relates to a chartered group (e.g., Foo WG or Foo Working Group), and
- If no group in our data base has that name
- Then a warning is issued (and the session is highlighted in the generated grid).
This could help with several situations:
- Group not chartered in time for the event.
- Group was scheduled but was closed between that time and the event.
- Group is in the database but it's charter has expired.
I am most concerned about the WG/IG case, but this could also be useful for CGs (but lower priority for now).
