We are interested in dedicating time at TPAC to hear from working group members using DIDs. We would like to aim for shorter presentations (under 15m or so) that showcase real-world usage of DIDs.

Topic: Self-Describing DID Methods

DID method names are prone to collision and there's no mechanism to distinguish between two DID methods with the same name. Version control is also an issue, as a significant change to a DID method's protocol may warrant a new name. This presentation outlines a collision-resistant naming convention and a version management protocol to address these issues.

Believe it or not, TPAC is just around the corner. The chairs will be starting to form the agenda next week, so get your topics in by Monday next week (19 Aug 2024) if possible. Once we settle the agenda in a couple of weeks it will become difficult to make major changes.

I'd like to present on the work we've done with the sequel to BTCR. Lots of interesting concerns we've tried to address with the latest specification, including offline creation, aggregated updates, and late publishing.

Hello, I could do a presentation on "Extensibility of DID Resolution and DID URL Dereferencing" where I could list a number of interesting applications and extensions that have been developed in the community, e.g. DID parameters like transformKey or initialState, DID URL patterns such as DID Linked Resources or the /whois path, slightly unconventional DID methods such as did:keri, and various extension metadata properties we have seen.
