There's a lot of discussion on that Nuxt issue, and it's not clear to me that all of it is necessarily about the same issue. If I'm understanding correctly, it looks like a memory leak was introduced in 3.5.14. But I wasn't able to find a reproduction on that issue, and there also seemed to be some doubt about whether this is actually a bug or a consequence of incorrect usage.

Is there a minimal reproduction that demonstrates the problem?
