Upgrading vue-rate-it to Vue3

I have used vue-rate-it (https://github.com/craigh411/vue-rate-it) in a Vue2 project but I have upgraded my project to Vue3 (or actually rebuilt it in Vue3) and vue-rate-it is not working in Vue3. I also use stars and therefore use vue-star-rating (https://github.com/craigh411/vue-star-rating) with stars in 2 different colors in the new project but would prefer to use hearts. I was thinking to upgrade vue-rate-it to Vue3 but that seems a little more difficult than I expected. Anyone who feels interested in upgrading this component? Or anyone that can guide me how to do it?
