Voikko does not need Malaga any more after transitioning to VFST. Because Voikko used to need Malaga, I have been maintaining the RPM package in Fedora so far. For the upcoming Fedora 42 I got a bug report about Malaga failing to build from source.
Glancing through the build log it seems there are pointer type incompatibility issues and glib deprecations.
The upstream URL https://home.arcor.de/bjoern-beutel/malaga/ does not work. The source code is available from Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Piotrowski's home page, but I could not find it in Github or any other public source control system.
Malaga has been removed from Debian testing. It seems to me Malaga does not really exist any more. Does anyone here know anything more? I will probably orphan the Malaga packages in Fedora soon.
