❌ build.cssTarget is not working

Hello everyone, I'm trying to configure Vite so that it doesn't convert color functions to HEX. I set cssTarget with the value chrome140 for this, but it still doesn't work... Even the example from the chrome61 documentation doesn't work.
The only thing I noticed is that if the P3 color space is used, for example, through the oklch function, then Vite does not convert to HEX.

It is converted to HEX because chrome 61 and chrome 140 supports #RRGGBB hex notation (I think all browser support this).
Chrome 61 doesn't support #RRGGBBAA hex notation, so setting chrome61 to cssTarget will avoid that from happening.

But it clearly says here that to avoid converting rgba to hex, you need to set chrome61. Or is it only about the rgba function?

It's #RGBA hex, which is only supported by newer browsers and different from #RGB hex.

I don't think there's a way because browsers don't treat them differently.

Well, for example, I tried to install the CSSNano minifier and it has the colormin option, which disables any color function conversions. Vite uses ESBuild, but as I understand it, it doesn't have something like that?

Vite uses esbuild or lightningcss depending on the config, but neither doesn't have an option that disables it.

It's a pity, of course, but on the other hand, any colors other than P3 can be represented in HEX, and if so, then there probably isn't much point in color functions in minified CSS.
