vite build: use git, not filesystem

I'd like to vite build what is in git, not the working tree, as it is dirty. Is there a way to pipe git archive to vite?

I would have a second git worktree (it basically share same meta data) and use vite build inside it. And try to keep it clean. Or git stash && vite build && git stash pop
