Library mode different path for public files

By default in lib mode Vite copies everything from publicDir folder directly in dist folder.

Is there an option to use specific folder in dist.
For example dist/public folder.

It will be useful to reference files in this folder (vendor fonts, css files, etc.) in package.json:

        ".": "./dist/index.js",
        "./public/*": "./dist/public/*"
    }
