help assets are no getting copied on dist folder after build

This is a react-ts app create using vite. I'm having an issue trying to publish on gh-pages. I think that the problem is build not getting the src/assets folder on the dist folder.

how do you resolve the problem?, i checked your repo and it only duplicates the assets in the public folder.
